Course/Curriculum Development

ATD 426 History of Dress and Textiles (Summer 2016; online)

I developed ATD 426 course into an online course that reflects the content of the course as it contained within the in-person course. The online version utilizes university online course resources and facilitates students participating in the course when away from campus.

ATD 430 Dress, Culture, and Human Behavior (Summer 2016; online)

I developed ATD 430 course into an online course that reflects the content of the course as it contained within the in-person course. The online version utilizes university online course resources and facilitates students participating in the course when away from campus.

ATD 491A Special Topics: Fashion Show Leadership (2015)

In collaboration with Rebecca Schuiling, I developed the course in relationship to the production of the ATD Fashion Show. I developed course content around fashion show committees and their responsibilities as service learning.

ATD 491A Special Topics: Advanced Digital Fashion Design (Summer 2015; online)

In response to students’ requests for summer courses and additional computer-based courses focusing on fashion design projects, I developed the ATD 491 Advanced Digital Fashion Design course. This course strives for learning outcomes reflecting more advanced digital fashion design skills, such as proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software and online portfolios.

ATD 424 (Spring 2015)

I researched 3D printing for fashion design and secured local/campus resources for ATD 424. Students build modeling, coding, and printing skills to achieve original 3D printing fashion design. The course outcomes reflect current trends in the fashion design industry.

ATD 335 (online; Summer 2014)

I am offering ATD 335 as an online course for Summer 2014, with an increased enrollment (from 20 to 30 students). Accordingly, I am restructuring the course for an online format using social media and D2L. Projects are adjusted to meet the accessibility and technology needs/availability.

ATD 439 (Spring 2014)

I structured ATD 439 to reflect current fashion industry standards and the ATD program’s mission. Students were expected to create a fashion blog, a hardcopy and online portfolios, resume, business card, technical specification packets, an avant garde design, and participate in designated fashion show committees.

ATD 111 (Fall 2013)

I assisted Jennifer Lantrip, new fixed term ATD faculty member, with her preparation of ATD 111. We moved the course from Angel to D2L, restructured the syllabus, updated the exams, and redrafted the patterns for the practical exam. I also reviewed practical exams with her for evaluations and grades.

ATD 222 (Fall 2013)

Rebecca Schuiling and I assisted Jennifer Lantrip, new fixed term ATD faculty member, with the preparation of ATD 222. We all collaborated on class projects, ordering supplies, and critiques.
